Hot Oil Treatments For Natural Hair

With so much focus on healthy natural hair it's easy to neglect your scalp. Your scalp goes through a lot...everything from chemical treatments, tension from pulling your hair too tight, styling, detangling, heat, and product buildup. It's important to rejuvenate your scalp after all the wear and tear and hot oil treatments do just that. After your scalp is the foundation for healthy hair. Imagine your scalp is the soil that grows your lush garden of natural curls. In order to keep your garden lush you need to maintain fertile soil. Discover how hot oil treatments nourishes your hair.

SCALP STIMULATION

Hot oil treatments stimulate the flow of blood to your scalp. Massaging the oil into your scalp after applying not only feels good it encourages hair growth and makes for an amazing self care session.

RELEIVES DRYNESS

Applying hot oil before shampooing your hair and in between your wash days relieves dryness which is common with natural hair. The oil soothes dry scalp and reduces peeling and flaking.

QUENCHES DRY HAIR

Oil not only benefits your scalp but it also coats your hair as it travels down your hair strands. The oil creates a protective layer around your hair that prevents moisture from escaping as quickly and reduces split ends.

APPLYING HOT OIL TREATMENTS

Creating a hot oil treatment is simple. To start warm a bowl of hot water in the microwave. While the water is warming put your oil in an applicator bottle. Remove the bowl from the microwave and place the applicator bottle in the water for 10 minutes to heat it. Next, remove the bottle from the water and apply warmed oil to your scalp in sections. Massage the oil in and apply a thin coat to your strands. Cover your hair with a plastic cap for 15 minutes and sit under a warm dryer or 30 minutes with no dryer. Remove the plastic cap and wash or style like as normal.

The Flower Bomb Hair Growth Oil is great for hot oil treatments because it comes in an applicator bottle and the botanical oils are perfect for scalp stimulation and moisture.

Hot oil treatments can be done before washing your hair, after washing your hair and in between washes.
